Chinese martial arts body to represent state in lion dance contest

The group from Chinese Martial Arts Association Kuching has secured a spot in the National Southern Traditional Lion Dance Championship 2016 this October, after beating 12 other contenders in the last of the state-level competition.

The winning troupe took home a trophy, gold medals, cash and also the main shirts for them to wear during the national-level competition.

At second location was the team from Liang Sheng Kuching Lion and Dragon Dance Club, while completing third were performers from Jing Ying Dragon and Lion Dance Association Kuching Team A.
